Giles Keyte is a world-renowned movie unit still photographer based in London, England, situated near Pinewood Studios and Leavesden Studios. With a career spanning over two decades, Giles has collaborated on numerous local and international film productions alongside some of the industry’s most prominent figures.
His journey in photography began in the equestrian world, where he honed his skills, while also gaining experience in the fashion industry in London and New York during his four years of photographic studies at Carmarthen college of Arts in Wales in 1996
Giles made the transition into film production, initially serving as an assistant to a number of still photographers on notable projects such as Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and Elizabeth, The Borrowers. However, it wasn’t long before Giles emerged as a prominent stills photographer in his own right, contributing to acclaimed films like Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (action unit), Billy Elliot, Wicked, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Fast 6 and 9, Fury, and additional photographer on Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning (part 1 & 2), and Rogue one, among many others.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Giles was accepted into the esteemed Society of Motion Pictures Stills Photographers (SMPSP) in October 2016. Renowned for his expertise in delivering high-quality unit still photography, poster shoots, key art, and behind-the-scenes documentary coverage, Giles consistently captures the essence of each project for both studio and independent productions.
When he’s not on set, he has a passion for car restorations, with his latest endeavour involving a 1983 Range Rover classic.
Based in the United Kingdom, Giles continues to make significant contributions to the film industry through his exceptional craftsmanship and unwavering dedication to his craft.
